Aloo Paratha - Easy to make Punjabi Aloo Paratha - Weekend Special Treat Stuffed Parathas

Paratha or Parota is one of the popular North Indian food varieties which can be made plain or can be stuffed. Stuffed parathas are healthy and has got good calorific value which fills our stomach. This can be packed in lunchbox and stays soft for a long time. Try this aloo paratha at home and enjoy your weekend.

Ingredients needed for Pujabi Aloo Paratha

For the Dough
Whole wheat flour - 2 cups
Salt as required.

Oil as required.

For the stuffing
Potatoes - 4
Green chillies -2 seeded
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Salt as required
Coriander leaves - handful
Onion - 1 finely chopped

Method for making Punjabi Aloo Paratha

1. Take the whole wheat flour, add the required amount of salt, oil, water and knead into a soft dough. Prepare the dough as you do for Chapathis. Keep it aside and divide it into equal sized balls.

2. Pressure cook the potatoes, peel the skin and mash it well.

3. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds, onions and green chillies, saute well and then add the mashed potatoes, salt and chopped coriander leaves. Now your stuffing is ready.

4. Roll out the dough into small round shape and keep the potato stuffing on it.

5. Close the dough with the stuffing inside.

6. Next roll the stuffed ones into round shapes.

7. Heat a tawa and place the rolled out dough.Apply oil on the top and flip it over to the other side.

8. Remove from tawa when both the sides are cooked well.

Serve hot with any gravy or Dal.
