Ingredients for making Pudina Sadam 

Cooked Rice - 2 cups.
Mint leaves- 2 cups
Green chillies- 4
A handful of garlic
Ginger - 1/2 inch
A handful of coriander leaves
A sprig of curry leaves
Tamarind - small piecee
Chopped Onions - 1 cup
A handful of groundnuts
Salt to taste

For seasoning

Groundnut oil- 2 tbsp.
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp.
curry leaves- a few

Method for making Pudina Sadam 

1. Grind mint leaves, green chillies, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves and curry leaves along with tamarind in a mixie. Add little water if required. 

2. Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds and urad dal when the dal turns brown add the curry leaves saute well. 

3. Now add the peanuts and saute well till they become light brown in colour. 

4. Next add the ground pudina mix saute well till you get a good flavour of pudina and switch off the flame.

5. Allow the ingredients to cool and then add required salt.

6. Add the cooked rice and and mix well.


 Serve Pudina Rice with any South Indian Varuval or Masala Vadai.
