Super Tasty Onion Paratha | Onion Stuffed Paratha

Onion Paratha is one of the easy to make Breakfast or Dinner Recipe. which you can make it very quickly. Here onions are chopped thinly and sauted with spices.  All you need is chopped onions which is mixed with whole wheat flour. Whenever you feel bored of eating chapathis you can try this easy and spicy recipe.

Onion paratha

Ingredients for making Onion Masala Chapathi

Whole wheat flour: 2 cups
Medium sized onions: 2 nos.
Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp.
Cumin seed: 1/4 tsp.
Turmeric powder a pinch
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tsp.
Gram flour - 1 tbsp

Method for making Onion Masala Chapathi

1. Make a soft dough using wheat flour, salt, oil and water. Close it with a lid and allow to rest for half an hour.

2. Heat oil in a kadai add the cumin seeds and then add lengthwise chopped onions and saute well. 

3. Next add the masala powders, salt and ginger garlic paste and saute well.

4. Next add gram flour and mix well, splash little water on top and saute in a low flame for 2 minutes. 

5. Now the onion stuffing is ready.

6. Pinch a small ball sized dough make a small cup and place the onion stuffing and fold on all sides making it into a small ball stuffed with the onions.

7. Roll them into chapathi as usual. Take care to roll it carefully.

8. Cook it on tawa with oil or ghee as you prefer.

The spicy and hot Onion chapathis are ready to be served with  any raitha, curry, or any chutney.
