Easy Parotta Recipe | Homemade Soft Layered Parotta | Parotta Kurma Recipe

Parotta is one of the favorite and tasty breakfast / Dinner Recipe which is loved by people all over the world. Usually we eat them in restaurant here I have shared you a recipe of soft layered parotta which I tried at home. Parotta tastes well with Kurma or Cauliflower Masala.

Ingredients for making Parotta

Maida - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp.
Rava - 1 tbsp.
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp.
Oil as required

Method for making Parotta

 
1. Take all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well.

2. Now sprinkle water and start to knead the dough. Let the water cover the whole flour leave this for 5 minutes. 


3. Next add water slowly and knead to a smooth and soft dough. Add 2 tbsp oil, cover and rest the dough for 1 hour.

4. After an hour knead the dough again until the dough absorbs all the oil.



5. Now pinch ball sized doughs and place in a plate add oil on top of the balls and soak for 30 minutes.

6. After 30 minutes take the ball and roll gently as thinly as possible.

7. Cut into thin strips using a sharp knife bring the strips together and roll spirally.



8. Roll them into thick parotta and take care so that the layers are intact.

9. Heat a dosa tawa  place the rolled parotta and add oil on the sides. 

10. Cook on medium flame flip over and spread  little oil and cook until both sides turn golden brown.

Now tasty soft layered Parotta is ready to be served with Kurma.
