Spicy Diamond Cuts | Maida Kaara Biscuits

Spicy diamond cuts or Spicy Maida biscuits are one of the easy to make kids snack which is prepared using maida and spices. My mom does this along with Sweet Maida biscuits during our summer vacation so that we enjoy in our holidays. These Kaara biscuits are crunchy and spicy and will be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Spicy Diamond Cuts

Ingredients for making Spicy maida biscuit

Maida - 1 cup
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp.
Omam / Ajwain - 1/2 tsp.
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Hot oil - 1 tb
A pinch of hing
A pinch of Baking Soda
A pinch of Salt
Oil - to deep fry

Method for making Spicy Diamond cuts

1.  In a wide bottomed vessel add maida, red chilli powder, ajwain, cumin seeds, salt, hing, baking soda and mix well and then add water little by little to form a soft dough.

2. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

3. Divide into equal sized balls, roll as chappathis and cut them into diamond shapes.

4. Spread this in a paper and allow this to dry till you have prepared all the diamonds,

5. Heat oil and then deep fry this in a medium flame till you get a golden brown color.

Store this in a air tight container.

Diamond cuts are ready for your kids.
