Papaya Halwa is a delicious Indian Sweet recipe made using ripe papaya. Papaya is known for lots of health benefits but many kids avoid this nutritious fruit. Just flavor the papaya with cardamom, cashews and blend with sugar to give a fruity tasty flavor which will make the kids to relish.
Ingredients for making Papaya Halwa
Ripe Papaya - 3 cups
Palm Sugar / Jaggery / Sugar - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Almonds - 10 nos.
Cashews - 10 nos.
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp.
Ghee - 4 tbsp.
Method for making Papaya Halwa
1. Peel the skin of papaya and grate them into fine pieces. You can also cut them into cubes and puree them in a mixer.
2. Heat ghee in a nonstick pan and fry the cashews and almonds. Keep them aside.
3. tn the same pan add the papaya puree and stir well continuously for 7 minutes.
4. Now add the palm sugar and stir well till it gets blended well.
5. Now add the milk and stir well for 10 minutes.
6. Add ghee and mix well continuously till it leaves the sides of the pan and becomes thick.
7. Now add the cardamom powder and fried nuts and mix well.
Serve Papaya Halwa hot with Poori or any Evening Snack.
