Beetroot Halwa is a healthy and nutritious easy to make sweet recipe which will be loved by the kids. My Mom does this beetroot halwa every Friday evening and serve this along with Vegetable Bajji. Ingredients for making Beetroot Halwa

Grated beetroots - 2 cups
Boiled Milk - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 cup (adjust as required)
Ghee - 2 tbsp.
Green cardamom - 5 nos (crushed and powdered)
Cashews - 10 nos

Instructions for making Beetroot Halwa

1. Wash the beetroots remove the top and bottom portion, peel and grate the beetroots.

2. Take a heavy bottommed vessel or a pressure cooker combine milk and grated beetroot and allow to cook in a low to medium flame stirring at intervals.





3. When the grated beetroots are cooked the milk will be fully absorbed and beetroot will change to a semi solid form.


4. Now add the sugar stir well and continue to cook on a low flame till you get a halwa like consistency.

5. Heat ghee in a frying pan add the cashews, cardamom powder and por this to the halwa and simmer and mix well.

Tasty Beetroot halwa is ready to be served.
