Rice Flour Medu Vada | No Soak No Grind Instant Rice flour Vada


Rice Flour Vada / Arisi Maavu Vadai is one of the easy to make snack recipe which can be made within few minutes. Here this does not need any soaking or grinding. Try to use fine rice flour or idiyappam flour for making crispy fluffy vadas. This recipe saves time and you can make at any time since it can be made using simple ingredients.

Ingredients for making Rice Flour Vadai

Rice flour - 1 Cup
Curd - 1/2 cup
Water - 1 cup
Green Chilli - 2
Crushed pepper - 1 tsp.
Ginger - 1 teaspoon
Salt as required
Oil - for Frying
Curry leaves - few
Finely chopped Onions - 1/2 cup

Method for making Rice Flour Vadai

1. Mix rice flour, curd and water in a vessel. mix well without lumps.

2. Keep this on a stove and stir well in low flame continuously till it leaves the sides of the vessel. You will get a thick vada batter consistency.

3. Transfer in a bowl and allow this to cool.

4. Add the finely chopped ginger, chopped onions, crushed pepper and curry leaves and mix well.

5. Heat the oil in pan, drop little amount of flour, when the flour comes up then the oil is ready.

6. Take a banana leaf or a plastic cover, place a little amount of the batter and make small hole in the middle and then spread. Now drop tis to the oil.

7. You can add 4 to 5 vadas in the oil and then turn it to the other side when it is cooked.

8. Remove when you get a golden brown colour. Always cook in a medium flame, if the flame is high the vada becomes brown outside and the inner portion will be uncooked.

Now the tasty Instant Rice flour Medhu Vadai is ready to be served hot with Coconut Chutney and Sambar
