Gobi Manchurian | Crispy Cauliflower Manchurian Recipe | Biryani Side dish

Gobi Manchurian is one of the popular Indian starters or snack recipe which is tossed with spices and sauces. Here I have given you the simple version of Gobi Manchurian using ingredients available in your kitchen. 


Gobi Manchurian



Ingredients needed for making Cauliflower 65

Cauliflower florets -2 cups
Chilli powder -1 tsp.
Coriander powder - 1 tsp.
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp.
Gram flour - 4 tbsp.
Rice flour -2 tbsp.
Cornflour - 2 tbsp.
Ginger-Garlic paste -1 tbsp.
Curd - 1 tbsp.
A pinch of baking Soda
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
Salt as required
Oil for deep frying

For the Manchurian

Chopped Ginger - 1 tbsp
Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp.
Chopped Green chillies - 1 tsp.
Chopped Spring Onions or White Onions - 1/2 cup
Chopped Capsicum (optional) - 1/2 cup
Soy Sauce - 1 tsp.
Tomato sauce - 1 tbsp.
Pepper powder - 1 tsp.

Method for making Cauliflower 65

1. Cut the cauliflower into florets and immerse them in hot water for 5 minutes. Drain the water and allow it to cool.

2. Take all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and add the cleaned cauliflower florets. Allow this to stand for 20 minutes. After marinating you can add little water so that all the cauliflower florets are well coated with the batter.

3. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the cauliflower mixture. Flip over and fry till they become till golden brown and crispy.

Method for making Gobi Manchurian


1. Heat oil in a kadai add the chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies fry them and then add the chopped onions and capsicum. 

2. Increase the flame and fry till the capsicum gets cooked. Here I have not added capsicums because my little ones do not like them.

3. Next add the soy sauce and tomato sauce and mix well. I have not used soy sauce if you prefer you can use. 

4. Next add the fried cauliflowers and mix them well with the manchurian contents till it gets coated well. 

5. Sprinkle black pepper powder on top and serve hot.

Now the crispy Cauliflower Manchurian or Gobi manchurian is ready to be served with Tomato Sauce or Mint chutney.
