Healthy Vegetable Sandwich Recipe | Simple Mixed Veg Sandwich in Dosa Tawa | Diet sandwich

Vegetable Sandwich is a tasty and healthy breakfast recipe loaded with vegetables which makes it a complete balanced diet fo kids as well as adults. Here I have used the vegetables for stuffing and I have not used cheese. If you want to serve to the kids you can add cheese slices or grated cheese. I have used Brown bread you can also use regular white bread of your choice. Brown breads stuffed with Veggies and toasted with little oil is an ideal Diabetic Recipe.

Vegetable Sandwich Recipe



Ingredients needed to make Mixed Veg Sandwich


Brown bread / white bread - 10 nos.
Cumin seeds - 1tsp.
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp.
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp.
Coriander powder - 1 tsp.
Grated carrot - 1 cup
Finely chopped cabbage - 1 cup
Onions - 2 nos.
Boiled Potatoes - 2 nos.
Butter / Ghee as required.

Method for making Mixed Veg Sandwich


1. Heat oil in a kadai splutter the cumin seeds and then add the chopped onions, saute well and then add the grated carrots and cabbages and saute well. 

2. Next add the boiled and mashed potatoes and mix well.

3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder along with salt and saute well till the raw smell disappears. Now switch off the flame and the stuffing is ready.

4. Place the stuffing inside 2 bread slices and toast them with butter in a dosa tawa.

5. Cut them into desired shape and serve them hot with Tomato sauce or green chutney.
