Onion Paratha | Onion Stuffed Masala Chapathi | Vengaya Roti

Onion Paratha is one of the easy and spicy Breakfast or Dinner Recipe which you can make it very quickly. All you need is chopped onions which is mixed with whole wheat flour. Whenever you feel bored of eating chapathis you can try this easy and spicy recipe.

Onion Paratha




Ingredients for making Onion Masala Chapathi

Whole wheat flour: 2 cups
Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp.
Cumin seed powder: 1/4 tsp.
Turmeric powder a pinch
Finely grated ginger: 2 tsp.
Coriander powder: 1 tsp.
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Salt as required.
Garam masala powder a pinch
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp.

Method for making Onion Masala Chapathi

1. Make a soft dough using wheat flour, salt, oil and water. Close it with a lid and allow to rest for half an hour.

2. Heat oil in a kadai add the finely chopped onions and saute well. 



3. Next add the masala powders, salt and ginger garlic paste and saute well.




4. Pinch a small ball sized dough make a small cup and place the onion stuffing and fold on all sides making it into a small ball stuffed with the onions.





5. Roll them into chapathi as usual. Take care to roll it carefully.



6. Cook it on tawa with oil or ghee as you prefer.



The spicy and hot Onion chapathis are ready to be served with  any raitha, curry, or any chutney.
