Mixed Vegetable Cutlet | Easy to make Spicy Indian Tawa Cutlets

Vegetable Cutlet is one of the easy to make Evening Snacks Recipe which will be loved by people of all ages. It can be done within minutes for sudden guests and also for kids returning form school. Try this healthy cutlet recipe and enjoy your evening.

For making this veg cutlet you can use vegetables of your choice like potatoes, carrots, green peas, beetroot, etc. If you wanted to make it more nutritious and healthy you can add boiled chick peas, any spinach, paneer or cashews.

Vegetable Cutlet


Ingredients to make Vegetable Cutlet

Potato - 2 nos.
Grated Carrots - 1 cup
Green chillies - 2 nos.
Chopped onions - 1 no.
Green peas - 1/2 cup
Red chilli Powder - 1 tsp.
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp.
Coriander leaves - A handful
Bread crumbs - 10 tbsps.
Maida or rice flour - 1 tbsp.
Oil as required
Salt as needed

Method for making Vegetable Cutlet

1. Steam cook the vegetables either in a steamer or in a pressure cooker. You can also boil the vegetables until soft. Mash the veggies and keep aside.

2. Add the mashed vegetables in a mixing bowl, add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, salt, red chilli powder and mix well.

3. Add the bread crumbs as required to make it to a non-sticky dough.

4. Divide the dough into equal sizes and make a small ball and pat them into cutlets.

5. Make a paste using Maida and in another bowl keep the bread crumbs ready.

6. Now immerse the cutlets into the maida paste and coat them with bread crumbs.

7. Now heat oil in a tawa and just shallow fry them on both sides till golden brown.

Vegetable Cutlets are ready to be served with Green Chutney or Sauce.
