Traditional Kuzhambu Podi | Kuzhambu Milagai Thool | Kuzhambu Powder

Kuzhambu Podi or Kuzhambu Milagai Thool is a homemade flavorful traditional powder recipe which is used for making Kaara Kuzhambu or any Vegetable Varuval Recipe. Kuzhambbu Podi enhances the taste and aroma of the curry and is fresh and tasty than the ready made masala podis.

Kuzhambu Podi

Ingredients for making Kuzhambu Podi 

2 cups round red chillies
1 cup coriander seeds
1 tbsp toor dal
1 tbsp urad dal
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
1 tbsp pepper 
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
2 tbsp curry leaves

How to make Kuzhambu Podi 

1. Wash and dry the curry leaves.

2. Dry roast all the above ingredients one by one in a kadai. Take care not to roast it too much and roast till every thing is brown in colour.

3. You can also dry roast everything together but take care not to roast it too much.

4. Now cool down all the ingredients completely then transfer to a mixer jar.

5. Grind to a slightly coarse powder as it will be more flavorful. Take care not to ground too much powdery.
