Sweet Diamond cuts dipped in Sugar Syrup

Sweet Maida biscuits also called as sweet Diamond Cuts are one of the easy to make kids snack which is prepared using maida and sugar. Here in this recipe we soak the maida bisuits in hot sugar syrup which enhances the taste.

Sweet Diamond Cuts

Ingredients for making sweet maida biscuit

Maida - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/4
Ghee - 1 tsp
A pinch of Baking Soda
A pinch of Salt
Oil - to deep fry

Method for making Sweet Diamond cuts

1. Mix sugar in boiling water to form a syrup add water in a 1:1 ratio. Allow this to boil till the sugar dissolves.

2. In a wide bottomed vessel add maida, ghee, salt, baking soda and mix well and knead to form a soft dough.

3. Divide into equal sized balls, roll as chappathis and cut them into diamond shapes.

4. Spread this in a paper and allow this to dry till you have prepared all the diamonds,

5. Heat oil and then deep fry this in a medium flame till you get a golden brown color.

6. Add the diamond cuts in sugar syrup and tranfer to a plate. Serve this hot or cold.
