Punjabi Style Mixed Vegetable Paratha | Stuffed Paratha Kids Recipe

Mixed Vegetable Paratha in Punjabi style is a stuffed paratha filled with veggies of your choice which is a delicious and nutritious wholesome meal for lunch or dinner. Ingredients for making North Indian Special Vegetable Paratha

Wheat flour - 2 cups
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
A pinch of Jeera / Cumin roasted
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp.
Grated carrots - 1/4 cup
Boiled and mashed potatoes - 2 nos.
Chopped Beans - 1/4 cup
Chopped capsicum - 1/4 cup
Grated Cottage cheese - 1 tbsp.(optional)
Onion - 2 tbsp finely chopped
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp.
Salt - to taste
Water - as required
Oil - 2 tbsp

Method for making North Indian Special Vegetable Paratha

1. Wash and Chop the vegetables into fine pieces. You can choose vegetables of your preference. The more the variety of veggies the more tastier the Paratha will be.

2. Heat oil in a kadai, add the cumin when it crackles add the onions and when they turn golden brown add the chopped veggies, salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, chilli powder, and coriander leaves.






 3. Make a soft pliable dough with the wheat flour by adding enough water, oil and salt.

4. Make small cups and stuff the veggies and then roll them as parathas. Inorder to get perfect stuffed paratha, roll it lightly from edges to the centre. This will make the stuffing intact and the stuffing spreads evenly.


5. Heat the tawa and cook the parathas on both sides with oil or ghee.

Vegetable paratha is ready to be served with any of the below side dishes.
