Chola Poori / Maida Poori - Soft fluffy Pooris in Hotel Style.

Maida Puri is one of the easy to make breakfast recipes which tastes yummy and great. This poori is made using Maida instead of the usual whole wheat flour. The taste of this poori is different from the usual pooris and tastes well with channa masala or any spicy curries like vada kari, Kuruma, etc. The poori can even be served with sugar for kids. The sourness of the curd gives softness to the dough and the rava makes it crispy and retains the puffiness for longer time.

Ingredients for making Maida Poori

Maida – 2 cups.
Rava - 2 tbsp.
Curd – 1/2 cup.
Oil as required.
Salt – to taste

Method for making Maida Poori

1. Mix the maida, rava, curd, salt and little oil with water to make a smooth pliable dough.

2. Keep the dough covered for atleast 1 hour.

3. After an hour roll out small lemon-sized balls and roll them into pooris.

4. Drop this gently into oil and fry till you get a light brown colour.

Maida pooris are ready to be served with Vadacurry or chettinad kuruma or of anything of your choice.
