Pulippu yilla Thayir Sadam

Ingredients for making Curd Rice

Raw rice - 1/2 cup
Water - 3 cups
Curd - 2 tsp.
Butter - 1 tsp.
Boiled milk - 1 1/2 cups
Coriander leaves for garnishing
Salt as required.

For seasoning
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp.
Red
chillies - 1
A sprig of curry leaves.

Method for making Curd Rice

1. Wash the rice and cook by adding 3 cups of water in a vessel till it is well cooked.

2. Now add the milk and butter and mix well. The rice will have a watery consistency and it will not be thick.

3. Allow this to cool and add curd to this and mix at the moment you pack this in the lunchbox.

4. Then season this with the ingredients given under seasoning. When you open the box for lunch you can have the smoothy tasty curd rice without too much sourness.

Serve this with Kutti Urulai Kari
