Homemade Tamilnadu Sambhar podi - Spicy Hot Sambar Podi in Traditional Style

Sambhar is one of the main lunch menu for many of the South Indians. The taste of Sambhar is enhanced by the Homemade Sambar Podi which differs from the readymade Podis. Read this article to know how to make this Aromatic and Spicy Sambar Podi at your home.

Ingredients to make Sambhar Podi 

Coriander seeds 1 cup

Red chillies - 3 cups

Fenugreek - 1 tsp

Jeera 2 tsp

Method  to make Sambhar Podi 

1. Fry all of the above ingredients separately in a pan without oil.

2. Grind the fried ingredients in a mixie.

3. Store it in a air tight container.

4. Use one tablespoon sambhar podi when preparing sambhar.

5. Taste will be different than regular sambhar.
