7 Cup Burfi | 7 Cup Cake | Easy Diwali Sweet Recipe

Seven cups cake or 7 Cups burfi is a traditional mouth watering Diwali Sweet. This is made using 7 cups of ingredients easily available in our kitchen. It is very easy to make and can be made in less time. Here we use gram flour, coconut, milk, cardamom, sugar, ghee, and cashews. 

7 Cup Burfi

Ingredients to make  7 Cup Cake

Gram Flour - 1 cup
Ghee - 1 cup
Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 3 cups
A pinch of cardamom powder

Method to make 7 Cup Cake

1. Grease a plate with ghee and keep it aside.

2. Heat a kadai add a teaspoon of ghee and fry the Gram Flour till you get a nice aroma. This will take just 3 minutes.

3. Add grated coconut and mix well till both the ingredients blend well. Lower the flame and roast for 3 minutes. Take care not to discolour.

4. Add the sugar to the kadai. Add a cup of milk and mix all the above ingredients.

5. Add the cup of ghee and mix well. Stir the ingredients continuously in a low flame.

6. Stir continuously for about 10 – 15 minutes till the cake starts to leave the sides of the kadai without sticking. Add cardamom powder and mix well.

7. Now pour the mixture into the greasy plate. Level the burfi in the greasy plate using a flat spatula so that it is evenly spreaded. 

8. Allow this to cool off in the plate. Now using a knife gently put vertical lines and cut into desired shape. Store it in a air tight container.

The mouth-watering seven cups cake is ready to serve.
