Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Gram flour - 1 tbsp

1.Wash the sweet potatoes well and pressure cook them with water for 3 whistles.

2.Once the pressure subsides, open the cooker and drain the water completely. Peel the skin of sweet potatoes and cut them into small pieces. Mash it well using a potato masher without any lumps.

3.Take them in a mixing bowl and then add chopped onions, green chillies and coriander leaves.

4.Next add the rice flour and gram flour along with the required amount of salt and mix everything together.

5.Take a small ball sized sweet potato mixture and flatten it to form cutlets or tikkis. Take care not to make it very thick and there are no cracks. Repeat the same process for the rest of the mixture.

6.Heat oil in a shallow tawa, and fry the cutlets in a low medium flame on both sides until golden brown.
